Nadar por Vida
We have had a special summer. Olympian Kate Ziegler, who has donated her time, expertise and equipment to Nadar por Vida since the very beginning and visited us for a special practice last May, swam in the Olympics in London. Additionally, one of our volunteers Anna Johannes qualified for the Paralympic games in London AND won her first Bronze medal! Nadar Por Vida was recognized with the Let's Move the Needle on Childhood Obesity Award for our "commitment to making a change in the fight on childhood obesity." We would like to thank the Northern Virginia Community Foundation, Northern Virginia Healthy Kids Coalition and Eileen Ellsworth for their support and recognition!
This film was provided by USA Swimming Foundation and shown at the 2011 Golden Goggle Awards. Donations directly to Nadar Por Vida will help us continue our efforts and are greatly appreciated. Nadar Por Vida was highlighted at Golden Goggles 2010 after an incredible visit from Gold Medalist Mel Stewart.
